Tooth Whitening
Coffee, tea, tobacco, lipstick, red wine, antibiotics and age can all darken teeth. In office whitening can lighten your teeth by up to eight shades, giving you that amazing smile you’ve been wanting in about one hour.
In Office Whitening
Our custom in office whitening involves coating the teeth with hydrogen peroxide gels and applying a low heat light to the gel. The light breaks down the hydrogen peroxide and allows the enamel to be bleached. Our custom in office whitening is adjusted for each procedure. This enables us to get the best possible results for each patient. Yellow teeth whiten differently than gray or blue tinged teeth. We only use the best suited gel and technique for each individual. Our approach to whitening yields optimum results.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can change the shape, color, length or width of your teeth. Veneers are a thin, semi-translucent laminate permanently bonded to your teeth. While they are not suitable for every patient, veneers are the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth, including diastemas (space between teeth); broken or chipped teeth; unsightly, stained, or washed-out fillings; permanently stained or discolored teeth that can’t be bleached; or crooked teeth.
One of the great advantages of veneers is that the procedure takes only two visits. Veneers can last indefinitely, depending on how well they are taken care of. They are also more resistant to stains and chipping than regular bonding.
Bonding / Tooth Colored Fillings
Cosmetic tooth bonding can work wonders for your smile. Tooth bonding can correct a tooth gap; cover spots, chips and discolorations; repair fractures; and even reshape teeth. It is also great for an instant repair of a broken front tooth.
The tooth bonding procedure involves roughening the surface of the tooth applying an adhesive and eventually shaping a putty-like resin in to the desired shape. After the material has hardened, Dr. Donaty will then further trim, shape and polish it, to make it match the rest of your mouth’s structure.
One of the many advantages of bonding is that it usually takes only one visit to complete.
Is Bonding Right For Me?
Bonding can be employed to change the size or shape of your teeth, creating a smile that appears more symmetrical and space free. This single-visit procedure provides a fast solution for a more attractive smile and may eliminate the need for orthodontic treatment in some cases.
Tooth stains and discolorations that resist professional tooth whitening procedures may also be masked by bonding. Although bonding may not be as long lasting as porcelain veneers or crowns, in can last for a number of years with proper care.
Full Ceramic Crowns
Full ceramic crowns are purely from ceramic and no other material. This is in contrast to other types of crowns such as the porcelain fused to metal variety and gold crowns. The defining feature of these crowns is that they are made from a translucent material which is attractive to look at and blends in well with the rest of your teeth. This means that you will have a top quality crown which will last for many years.
These crowns are ideally suited to people who have minimal space within their mouth for a crown or prefer something which has a natural appearance.
They are made from a thinner material which results in a lighter crown. Plus the material used is bio-compatible, which, is kind to natural gum tissue and enables it to grow back alongside the crown.
~ Minimal risk of allergic reaction.
~ No development of metal sensitivity.

Sleep Apnea / Snoreguards
Sleep apnea is very common, as common as Type 2 Diabetes. It affects more than 18 million Americans, according to the National Sleep Foundation. Loud snoring is a symptom of obstruction. Typical symptoms may include sleepiness, morning headaches, dry throat, memory loss and difficulty concentrating. If left untreated, side effects of Sleep Apnea can cause you to develop symptoms that are more severe: high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, depression, memory problems, weight gain, impotence and headaches. Fortunately, Sleep Apnea can be diagnosed and treated. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine now recommends oral appliances to treat mild to moderate Sleep Apnea. These custom oral appliances are available in our office through our authorized dental laboratories.
Nightguards and Performance Enhancing Mouthpieces
Because of Dr. Donaty’s expertise with jaw and bite alignement he can offer various types of nightguards. He will see the function of your jaw and decide how best to protect it. Depending on your needs he may recommend a single arch nightguard for slight clenching or a double arch appliance for nighttime jaw muscle hyperactivity. A relaxation splint may move your jaw into its optimal position and improve its range of movement. It may reduce muscle tension and allow the jaw joints to realign to their ideal orientation.
The performance enhancing mouthpieces with patented armour bite pivot your jaw forward when you run, lift, and train. This reduces your body’s production of performance sapping cortisol while also maximizing air intake. This increases your endurance and may improve your strength, speed and reaction time. For contact sports it will provide higher impact protection to absorb energy on impact. The special material provides the ability to talk and breathe easily. Dr. Donaty will custom fit your device for optimal wearability and comfort. It will be designed to fit your needs. Contact or non-contact, you can be sure you’ll have the best designed guard to optimize your performance.
Implant Dentistry
Once a tooth is lost it’s time for action. Implants provide one of the most permanent, natural looking and functional options available to replace missing teeth. Implants are surgically screwed in to the jaw bone offering a “root” for the doctor to work with. Over this “root” Dr. Donaty only uses custom laboratory made abutments (the crown’s foundation element) for each specific case. Implant crowns are technique sensitive, precision fit crowns that fit seamlessly onto the abutment. These porcelain crowns create the illusion of natural looking teeth that function and feel like real teeth. Implants are the treatment of choice when replacing one or more teeth. Dr. Donaty will restore the function of your teeth and enhance your smile.
Pinhole Surgical Technique
The Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique is a minimally invasive option for treating gum recession. Unlike traditional grafting techniques, PST is incision and suture free. During the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique, a needle is used to make a small hole in the patient’s existing gum tissue. Through this pinhole, special instruments are used to gently loosen the gum tissue. These tools help expand and slide the gumline to cover the exposed root structure.
The benefits of the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique are many:
~ Less discomfort for the patient after treatment
~ Faster recovery for the patient than traditional grafting
~ No need for uncomfortable sutures
~ No need for scalpels or invasive surgical tools
~ No need to take donor tissue from the patient’s palate
~ Excellent, natural-looking, long-lasting results
